ING Luxembourg, for its Customer Care department, is looking for trainees/interns for a period of one year. The internship must be approved by a school.
Customer Care Department
Our service operates as an operational department that handles operational matters with a strong legal dimension.
The department handles the following matters:
- Customer claims across all banking segments (Retail Banking, Private Banking, Wholesale Banking),
- Assets seizures (both civil and criminal),
- Successions
- Police and Tax Authorities inquiries
Due to the legal nature of the topics addressed, the department works in close collaboration with the Bank’s Legal Department, ensuring that all actions are aligned with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks while maintaining a strong operational focus.
Job description:
As a Legal Intern, you will manage matters related to the department's legal and operational activities:
- Participate in the review and drafting of various legal and operational claims relating to the bank's different business lines.
- Actively participate in the preparation and follow-up of files in collaboration with the department’s legal expert, the customer care team and the legal service (complaints, succession, seizure of accounts, dormant accounts, etc.)
- Prepare and draft research notes, emails and/or analyses on legal and operational issues related to the demands of the department’s various activities.
- You will be required to manage the follow-up of projects and work in collaboration with the team members, the legal service or other contacts concerned by the activities.
Your profile:
Education:
Bachelor 3 or equivalent legal training.
Initial experience in a bank and/or law firm will be considered an asset.
Skills :
· Good analytical and summarizing skills.
· Good written and oral communication skills.
· Good team spirit and creativity.
· Ability to manage projects independently.
· Strong interest in banking and operational environment.
· Strong client experience orientation.
· A proactive, solution-focused approach to legal and operational problem-solving.
Languages:
· Very good knowledge of French and English is essential.
· Knowledge of Luxembourgish German and/or Dutch will be considered an asset.
